Born as Hilary Ngaakudzwe Chipunza in 1994 in Harare, Hillzy now resides in South Africa. Balancing his musical aspirations with a full-time role as an App Developer showcases his dedication to both his craft and career.

In 2019, his contemporary artistry earned him a nomination for an AFRIMA award in the Best Artiste, Duo, or Group in African R&B & Soul category, specifically for his collaborative masterpiece, “TV Room,” with the late Garry Mapanzure. Furthermore, his remarkable contributions to the R&B and soul genre were celebrated in 2021 when he clinched a ZIMA award. Throughout his musical journey, Hillzy has had the privilege of collaborating with prominent artists, including Shasha, Gemma, and the late Garry Mapanzure, enriching his creative repertoire.
